About the animal:
I am currently fostering Luna. Her previous owner was homeless, and Luna was living in the car with her. The owner gave Luna to a friend of hers who was going to take her to our severely over-crowded local shelter. I offered to foster Luna until a home could be found. Luna currently lives in a mellow foster home with cats. She does have to kept away from the cats since she appears reactive to them. She’s great with medium and larger dogs and is very playful. Luna loves meeting new people and always has a friendly demeanor. Since she is still a puppy, she is still learning not to jump and is doing very well with that here. She’ll need some reinforcement in a new home though as she’s settling in. She’s very high-energy and loves going on adventures. She does great in the car, walks well on the leash, and knows her basic commands: “sit”, “stay”, “shake”, “come”, “down”, “go to your crate”, and “go to your bed.” We are working on teaching her others as well. She’s very smart and picks up on things quickly. Luna is very affectionate and loves belly rubs, curling up at your feet or on your lap, and forms deep bonds with her humans. She’s always keeping on eye on you even while she’s off playing. A home with another dog with a similar energy level would be great, but humans who are willing to make sure she gets the exercise she needs is fine too.
