Every Wednesday, our Humane Education Coordinator will read a story with one of her companion animals. You’ll hear the story in both English and Spanish.
Each book comes from the Red Rover Reader’s curriculum which is aligned with the Core Competencies for social and emotional learning.
The Forgotten Rabbit teaches social awareness focusing on perspective taking and affective empathy. It also teaches self-awareness, focusing on labeling feelings and relating feelings to thoughts and behavior.
During the reading, you’ll have the opportunity to answer questions to engage in the social and emotional learning component. You’ll also get to meet a rabbit named Coco!
Join us live on Wednesdays at 3pm (during Shelter in Place) on our Facebook Page.
