Humane at Home: Do a Seton Watch

Categories: Humane At Home, Humane Education

Have you ever taken a moment to simply sit and observe the nature around you?

We’re lucky in Marin County to be surrounded by plenty of beauty in nature, but no matter where you are you can take time to observe and use your senses to discover a hidden world.

Typically, a Seton Watch involves sitting somewhere for 20 minutes and observing around you (without talking!). In this activity, you can sit for as long as you’d like, but a minimum of two minutes is encouraged.

You’ll use your five senses to discover the wonder of your surroundings. Hopefully you’ll notice things you hadn’t noticed before.

After the lesson, post a photo of your creation on social media and tag @marinhumane.
