Separation anxiety affects approximately 50% of pet dogs in the US. We understand that it’s not only extremely challenging for the dog, but also a tremendous reason for worry and frustration to the pet parent. There is good news though – separation anxiety is indeed fixable. You’ll learn what separation anxiety is, the myths that surround it, and information with which to base your training. The process is a slow and systematic one, but if treated correctly, the prognosis for separation anxiety is excellent.
1:30 – 5:30 pm – for professional dog trainers and behavior consultants
Cost $75
While the prevalence of separation anxiety has always been high, we’re starting to see increases of epidemic proportions as the world starts to reopen post-pandemic. The good news is that this is a fixable issue. While there is no one-size-fits-all training plan for separation anxiety, there are many standard operating procedures that we’ll review, including how to create a systematic training protocol and how many common treatment options are not actually helpful. Dog professionals will leave with an in-depth direction on how to proceed with their separation anxiety clients.

In a summer of severe drought, save water, pray for rain, and visit the Cedars Artist Within Gallery where it’s raining cats and dogs! Cedars has teamed up with Marin Humane for a purr-fect partnership and collaboration for this current exhibition.
Cedars artists had the op-paw-tunity to work from over eighty photos of pets lucky enough to have Marin Humane staff as their guardians. The result: a show worth wagging your tail over!
The opening reception will be held on Friday, September 10, 6 – 8pm, and the exhibit will be viewable at the gallery September 10 – November 26, 2021.
