Latest Updates about the North Bay Fires and Pets
If you’ve been evacuated and can find no other alternative for your pets, Marin Humane can offer free emergency boarding. The shelter is located at 171 Bel Marin Keys Blvd in Novato, right off the 101 freeway. If possible, please bring your pet’s veterinary records and any medications. You do not need to bring pet food or bedding. We can accept all domestic animals. For livestock and any large animals, please call us at 415.883.4621.
Evacuees are welcome to come back and visit with their pets being boarded!
We’re grateful for the outpouring of offers of donations of food and supplies but at this time, the shelter is fully stocked. The best way to help us right now is to donate funds. This support enables us to continue providing emergency boarding for free.
Marin Humane has a large group of volunteers helping out, including foster families. At this time, we do not require any more. For information about becoming a volunteer in the future, please contact our volunteer department or call 415.506.6283. Thank you so much for your generous spirit.

Our resources are being stressed by the hundreds of animals in our care as well as those that will arrive in coming days. To allow us to be as nimble as possible and limit the time required for us to sort through physical donations, we encourage you to make a financial donation which will enable us to efficiently meet the needs as they arise. Thank you in advance for your generosity.
