Tell us about your animal:

Earl is used to being in the center of things and is very social. He’s used to coexisting with a dog that is in constant motion, including jumping up at his cage. Earl likes to whistle, but doesn’t seem interested in talking. I can tell he’s a very smart bird and wants someone who’ll spend time talking to him and maybe teach him some new songs or tricks. He’ll hop on your finger and hang out with you, listening intently to you when you look him in the eye and talk to him. He likes sitting on my shoulder while I cook dinner or work at my desk and loves eggs, chicken, and peas for a snack. He was a breeder (with a previous owner) for 5 years before we got him in 2012 for my daughter who was 13 at the time. She has since moved on to college and much bigger birds (she’s a licensed falconer) and Earl just doesn’t get enough 1:1 time any more. We travel often and feel bad when we have to board him. I think he would welcome a new chapter in his life with someone who has more time to invest in spending time with him.
