Tell us about your animal:

Sadie is a sweet and energetic 3 yr old mix breed (likely boxer, pit bull, and shepherd). She LOVES cuddling, snacking on bread, and “talking” between naps and activities. She enjoys exercise, particularly solo ball play or short runs, as well as mental games in the house. When she is excited and at play, she prances and jumps around like a “little horse” with lots of energy.

She has been in her current home for 9 months after being adopted from the local animal shelter. It is a busy household, but she gets downtime to herself during the work week. She has anxiety, which requires daily medication and a few techniques to help manage. She is spayed and up to date on all her vaccines.

She does well with kids in our house and visiting relatives (ages 5 – 15). She is friendly with our cat and they often curl up together.

She has started conflicting with our other dog and they now have to remain separate after being unsuccessful with re-introduction the past few months. We think she’ll do best in a single dog home to avoid a similar relationship from developing. The intent of the re-home is for her longer term happiness as an only dog.

She has worked with a personal trainer 1:1 for the last five months. The training focused on general obedience, reactivity, anxiety management, commands to help her re-focus, as well as improving her ability to walk on leash. She has responded extremely well and takes on new commands quickly.

She is house trained and can stay inside for several hours at a time. She is not crate trained.

Sadie would thrive in an only dog home with owners looking for family companion. She does best with daily exercise, but is just as happy curling up and relaxing next to her people for hours on end. Please let us know if this fits what you are looking for in the newest addition to your household. Thank you!
